How does your garden grow? With muck, muck and more muck! I spent much of today finishing the final muck box and then shifting muck from one box to the next. The first box, which the Big Lad is enthusiastically pointing out, has been rotting down for two years now and once we’d removed the top quarter of unrotted material, we found we’d hit the pay dirt.

(The Return of the) Muck of the Week

There used to be a regular game we liked to play on this site called "Muck of the Week." The rules are simple: do a google image search for the word "muck" and pick an interesting result to post. I once attempted to incorporate a caption contest into the game, but our own Ben was the only one who ever entered. Actually, that's OK since I'm sure he would have won anyway.

This gives me a new idea. From now on, I'll post the muck of the week image and Ben will go in and caption it for us. My goal is to stump him. His is, well, to provide a witty, appropriate, or simply amusing caption for whatever muck I throw his way.

I haven't discussed this with Ben, so I hope he doesn't mind me putting him on the spot like this. I wouldn't do it if I didn't have faith in his abilities.
