notes from
the MUCK . . .

How does your garden grow? With muck, muck and more muck! I spent much of today finishing the final muck box and then shifting muck from one box to the next. The first box, which the Big Lad is enthusiastically pointing out, has been rotting down for two years now and once we’d removed the top quarter of unrotted material, we found we’d hit the pay dirt.

Team Huddle

It was once an aim of ours to get really obsessed with the Biggie Smalls murder case. We would watch the DVD, get inspired, get ideas, get busy working on the case, and get rewarded with the God Damn truth.

I know I watched the DVD; I believe I may have talked with Jeff a little about it, but nothing more was done and not a day goes by when that doesn't burn me up.

I believe I've stumbled upon a chance of redemption.

A recent comment thread culminated in Matthew (represented ably by Alan-a-Dale) telling us about once possessing the Disney Robin Hood Sound Track and wishing that he still had it. I think I remember having that same CD, and I'll be damned if I didn't determine then and there to get it back. Easy, I thought, I'll just download it, won't take but an hour. No luck. Easy, I thought, get it from I Tunes. No luck. Easy, I thought, get it from Amazon. And there it was. I ordered it and it came. With trembling fingers I put it into my player, and sat back, waiting to be slapping my thigh to the beat of oo de lally. I was met with German narrative, somewhere in the background I could hear sounds from the film, every so often the word "Robin Hood" or "Little John" could be heard. My insides crumbled. I should've known, it was an import CD from Switzerland.

As I confirmed my order for a second CD from Amazon UK, I knew that the primary driving force in this quest was no longer a mild nostalgic whim, but a budding obsession. The CD came, but it was the same German CD. I was really down about this; I'd planned on sharing the album on Rapid Share, had even thought of a photo and title*. It was with heavy heart I returned it.

Further enquiries have not been positive, music shops say it may have been deleted, and I've initiated correspondence**with an Amazon market place seller to find out if the Robin Hood CD they have for offer was in English. It's been two days and no reply....I need some kind of help and I need it quick. There MUST be a way to harness our blog powers and get this thing. It can't not exist, it can't be that I'll never get to hear it again, it can't just have vanished, it just can't be.

So that's it, help. Now.

Free Robin. Free the music. Free me.

* It was going to be that lemonade thing that bursts through walls in Family Guy, with the title, OH YEAH! And then underneath it would've said, or rather...OO DE LALLY!! Linking to the album.

** "Initiated correspondence??? Jesus, it's Friday night and this is a sound track to a film where a monk is a badger.
