How does your garden grow? With muck, muck and more muck! I spent much of today finishing the final muck box and then shifting muck from one box to the next. The first box, which the Big Lad is enthusiastically pointing out, has been rotting down for two years now and once we’d removed the top quarter of unrotted material, we found we’d hit the pay dirt.

Memory Lane, Now Available on VHS

Check out this wonderful site, which features scans of 1980s era VHS cover art. I fell in love with movies by browsing the shelves of local video stores while my parents did adult things like shopping for my Bugle Boy pants. Unfortunately, I don't recognize as many of these covers as I think I should, but the focus is clearly on more obscure, Z graders anyway. Take a look, though. You'll be surprised just how many you do remember. It's sad that the days of video browsing are kind of coming to an end. The smaller stores just don't make it, and the bigger ones only carry the most popular selections. I asked for Mad Man recently at a Blockbuster video and the clerk told me they wouldn't bother ordering it until more people requested it.
