notes from
the MUCK . . .

How does your garden grow? With muck, muck and more muck! I spent much of today finishing the final muck box and then shifting muck from one box to the next. The first box, which the Big Lad is enthusiastically pointing out, has been rotting down for two years now and once we’d removed the top quarter of unrotted material, we found we’d hit the pay dirt.

More Fun With Maps

I know I said I thought the race will be close, but this early voting map is very interesting. The actual votes aren't tallied until next Tuesday, but you can look at the data on how many voters have cast their ballots and, most importantly, in a few states you can see how many of those voters are registered with each party. It's definitely looking good for that Obama fellow.

In North Carolina, for instance, there have been over 770,000 Democrats who have voted early, compared to only 396,000 Republicans. On the other hand, maybe the Republicans are just holding out until election day so they can make a collective effort to somehow steal the election. Again.
