notes from
the MUCK . . .

How does your garden grow? With muck, muck and more muck! I spent much of today finishing the final muck box and then shifting muck from one box to the next. The first box, which the Big Lad is enthusiastically pointing out, has been rotting down for two years now and once we’d removed the top quarter of unrotted material, we found we’d hit the pay dirt.

Question #2

OK, so most of mainstream media has a liberal bias. This is the premise. I'm less interested in whether or not that statement is true (I think it is), and more interested in why it would be true.

So then, why would a majority of journalists and news editors lean to the left?

Here's a follow up: Stereotypically speaking, those with the most money favor fewer corporate taxes, less government regulation of the market, etc. Yet, communication giants like CNN and NBC (and people in Hollywood, for that matter) enjoy tremendous wealth. Why would they favor a party that is historically more likely to get into their pockets?

I have my theory but I'm interested to hear some other opinions.
