notes from
the MUCK . . .

How does your garden grow? With muck, muck and more muck! I spent much of today finishing the final muck box and then shifting muck from one box to the next. The first box, which the Big Lad is enthusiastically pointing out, has been rotting down for two years now and once we’d removed the top quarter of unrotted material, we found we’d hit the pay dirt.

If I Were A Powerfully Successful Filmmaker

...I would have to indulge a few pet projects that nobody in their right mind would approve unless they were catering to the ego of a Kubrick-esque megalomaniac.

Here are the top three:

1) A remake of Point Break, with the exact same script and the exact same cast, only with all of the actors playing different parts. How great would it be to see Lori Petty in Keanu Reeve's role, Gary Busey in Patrick Swayze's role, and Keanu stepping into the giant thespian shoes of Anthony Kiedis?

2) The simultaneous release of two productions of the same screenplay...which will have been written by first graders.

3) Ben's movie about Winnie the Pooh.
