
Though I'm an avid supporter of Detoit's basketball team, I never really got into watching the NFL and so never really had anything bar a passing interest in the Detroit Lions.
Right about now, I'm fairly thankful for that.
Imagine that. A whole season of getting beat. I'm fairly used to being in teams that aren't successful but I wonder what something like this does to the ego of a professional athlete.
It made me think about this boxer who recently
retired after 300 fights. He lost 256 of them. Jesus. For me, these are the kind of stories that need to be told, those who strove with every ounce of their being to reach a level so high that they could be paid to do a sport they loved and ended up going down in history for being a bench mark in crapness.
