Time for me to step up and back up Parm
; he's been too long in the storm out on his own...
Wish I could provide more ammunition; there's been a lot of talk about the G20. What seemed to really get people going was that the Queen put the slap down on the Italian Premier. When I heard about this I was really looking forward to seeing the clip, and then posting it to give Jeff a little light relief from posting...Here it is
. In my opinion
, NOT worth the hype, and barely worth posting but I had to come up with something other than just...
I saw "I'm Not There" this week. I'd been looking forward to watching that too. There were definitely periods when I thought about turning it off; most of them contained Christian Bale. He just looked silly to me. It did grow on me though, and there were lots of things I liked about it; the Pat Garrett bit with Richard Gere
, and I liked how both Cate Blanchett
and Heath Ledger played him. I wasn't sure what they were trying to do with the kid; part of me thought it showed him as a commodity when he was playing "When the Ship Comes In" to the rich people, and the phone call from Minnesota was his past catching up with the myth he was creating about himself but still found it confusing. Seeing as there's a lot of Dylan aficionados
here, thought I'd see what y'all thought.
That's about it I'm afraid.
